Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddox misses with a takedown attempt
and Paul counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Brad Maddox has been cut.
Maddox slips a straight right by Paul.
Paul throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Paul throws a right and a left that Maddox avoids nicely.
Maddox bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Paul throws an overhand right that lands on Maddox's shoulder, as Maddox tries to avoid the shot.
A slow jab from Paul misses its intended target.
Maddox shoots for a double leg takedown but Paul sprawls well. He's pushed Maddox's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Paul throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Maddox takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Jamal Paul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Maddox.

Maddox shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Paul as he avoids it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Paul throws a right and a left that Maddox avoids nicely.
Maddox closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Paul to the mat! Paul manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Maddox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paul swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Paul is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Maddox is controlling him.
Maddox throwing strikes from guard but Paul blocks nicely.
Paul pushes Maddox off and scrambles back to his feet.
Maddox misses with a wild body shot.
Jamal Paul is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Paul looks to score with a jab to the body but Maddox is just out of range.
Paul moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Paul fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Maddox looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nice defenses there by Paul.
Paul wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Maddox tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Paul was well out of range. Poor timing from Maddox.
Maddox swings for the body but Paul moves out of range.
Maddox shoots in for a takedown but Paul shows good takedown defense.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Paul thuds a left hand into Maddox's body.
Maddox swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maddox fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Paul swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Paul thuds a left hand into Maddox's body.
Maddox looks gassed!

Paul throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Maddox stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Paul lands with a right hand.
Paul tests Maddox's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Maddox walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Paul scores with a nice strike.
Paul throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Maddox colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Paul as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Maddox is left battered and dazed whilst Paul and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jamal Paul!
Jamal Paul was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
