Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas Tate will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Tate!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tate to score with a decent uppercut.
Lei tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A combination from Lei does no damage.
Tate throws a right and a left that Lei avoids nicely.
Tate dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tate closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lei circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Lei has managed to clinch.
Lei keeps control of Tate as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Lei breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tate takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tate avoids the head kick by Lei.

Tate lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Lei sprawling to the canvas. Tate follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Lei hang on?

Lei is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lei keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Oh Lei is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lei wants to get back to his feet.
Lei seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tate wants to stand up but Lei is controlling the position.

Lei tries to kick Tate off but Tate keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lei regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Tate.

Lei scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Tate looks to score with a jab to the body but Lei is just out of range.
A shot to the liver by Tate. Beautiful body shot.

Tate tries to keep at a distance but Lei has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lei throws a head punch that misses.
Lei keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tate's efforts to push away.

Lei escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tate scores with a jab to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lei misses with a looping left.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lei.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lei avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tate misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tate moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Tate looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lei!
Lei is trying to stand.
Lei wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tate.
BOOM! Tate connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Tate lands a big shot there that rocks Lei but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lei might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lei is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Tate landing strikes from the mount and Lei is in trouble!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Tate! Lei is hurt baaadly! Tate is firing away with more strikes - Lei is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
