The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawking keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hawking throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dubovsky's head.

It looks like Maxym Dubovsky has been cut.
Hawking fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dubovsky avoids it really well and circles away.
No joy there for Dubovsky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hawking looks for a takedown but Dubovsky sprawls well.
Hawking lands a head kick!
Dubovsky is looking to clinch.
Dubovsky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dubovsky gets a double leg takedown into Hawking's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Hawking escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dubovsky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hawking is adopting a defensive guard.
Hawking tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hawking is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dubovsky defends well.

Dubovsky won't allow Hawking to sweep him here.
Dubovsky is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Hawking manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dubovsky manages to get himself to full guard.
Hawking is looking to work some ground and pound but Dubovsky has wrist control.

Hawking has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dubovsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawking. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Maxym Dubovsky's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
