Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shannon Bannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Mirian Cregov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bannon moves out of range of the body kick.
Bannon throws a series of punches but Cregov moves out of range.
Bannon just misses with a punch to the body.
Cregov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bannon.
Bannon looks to score with a jab to the body but Cregov is just out of range.
Bannon swings away with a body shot that misses
and Cregov counters with a solid body kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Cregov.
Cregov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bannon.
Cregov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cregov plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Shannon Bannon has been cut.
Cregov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A head kick from Cregov lands but Bannon takes it in his stride.
Cregov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bannon. That did some damage!
Shannon Bannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bannon throws a series of punches but Cregov avoids them all with ease.
Cregov scores with a jab to the body.
Bannon is breathing heavily.
Bannon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cregov. Cregov obviously looking to wear him down.
Bannon has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cregov.
Bannon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A slapping body kick lands there for Cregov.
Bannon steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Cregov. That one must have hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cregov connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Bannon tumbling to the canvas! Cregov pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Bannon was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mirian Cregov!
