Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lex Luthor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Thrasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Luthor might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Money. Lex Luthor had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thrasher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Luthor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Thrasher to the mat! Thrasher manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luthor stays in close to Thrasher's body and controls the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thrasher tries to bum rush Luthor with a series of wild strikes but Luthor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Luthor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Thrasher is fending him off so far but Luthor persists. Nope, Thrasher circles away and we're back to standing.
Thrasher attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Luthor's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
