Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Brumski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronny McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brutus Brumski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ronny McCoy! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brumski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McCoy tries to avoid it but Brumski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McCoy to the ground. McCoy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. McCoy closes the distance and clinches up with Brumski, looking for a takedown. McCoy pushes Brumski against the cage but Brumski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. McCoy tries to clinch there but Brumski circles away.
Brumski swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McCoy pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brumski back to the cage. McCoy follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. McCoy is looking to clinch. Brumski has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McCoy finds it's way round the side to connect with Brumski's head. McCoy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brumski circles away. Brumski fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McCoy to the ground. Brumski is now in McCoy's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. McCoy looking for a sweep. Not yet McCoy, not yet. Brumski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Brumski forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brumski missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. McCoy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brumski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brumski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Brumski blocks the strikes from McCoy.
Brumski stands up and beckons McCoy to join him on the feet. McCoy wants to clinch. Brumski moves into the clinch. Brumski tries to break the clinch but McCoy is controlling the position. Brumski breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brumski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Brumski drops back looking for a leg! McCoy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McCoy manages to kick Brumski off! Brumski jumps back into McCoy's guard. Brumski not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Brumski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brumski is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Brumski passes McCoy's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Brumski with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Brumski decides to return to a standing position. Brumski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brumski working over McCoy with some ground and pound. McCoy looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McCoy wants to improve his position but Brumski is controlling well.
McCoy has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Brumski escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Brumski! McCoy takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brumski content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McCoy gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brutus Brumski dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A combination from Brumski does no damage. Brumski misses with a low kick. McCoy leaves Brumski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Brumski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Brumski wants to pass the guard but McCoy is keeping the position. Brumski scoring with punches to the head and body. Brumski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The fight stays on the outside here - Brumski looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Brumski drives through with a takedown into McCoy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brumski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. McCoy trying to control the position.
McCoy is looking for a triangle but Brumski pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brumski slips nicely into half guard. Brutus Brumski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brumski passes to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brumski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McCoy has escaped the position, nice work there. A control attempt from McCoy but he's now mounted! Brumski controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brumski connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Brumski looking to control and managing it successfully. Brumski is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. McCoy is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. McCoy flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Brumski anticipates the leg and manages to get behind McCoy and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Brumski slips an arm under McCoy chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Brumski has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Brumski is squeezing on McCoy like an anaconda would it's prey. McCoy fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Brutus Brumski!
