Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Angulo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Parker!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker shoots in and drives through. Angulo sprawls well.
Angulo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Parker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Parker sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Angulo is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Angulo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Angulo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Angulo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Parker shoots in and bounces Angulo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Angulo wants to stand and escape but Parker is having none of it.

Parker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Angulo is keeping the position for now.

Parker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Angulo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Parker has Angulo in his guard.

Parker looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Angulo passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Angulo seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Parker is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Angulo pulls his head out easily.

Parker is looking for a sweep. Angulo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Parker looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Parker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Angulo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Parker is controlling him.
Parker tries to free his leg and advance position but Angulo is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Angulo will probably get the nod.

Angulo tries to bum rush Parker with a series of wild strikes but Parker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Parker seems to have recovered his senses.
George Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Angulo misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parker scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Angulo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Parker has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Parker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Angulo, who protects the arm well.
Angulo sneaks back into half guard.
Parker stops Angulo from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Angulo connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Parker tumbling to the canvas! Angulo pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Parker was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kevin Angulo!
