Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fedor Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko misses with a left hand
and Hamas counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hamas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hamas moves in looking to clinch but Emelianenko pushes him off.
Hamas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Emelianenko.
A slow jab from Emelianenko misses its intended target.
Fedor Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hamas shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Emelianenko misses with the combination.
Emelianenko takes a swing at Hamas's ribcage but misses.
Hamas is looking to clinch.
Hamas shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Hamas fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hamas checks a low kick from Emelianenko.
Hamas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Emelianenko lands the left hand.
Emelianenko lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hamas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Emelianenko manages to avoid it.
Emelianenko throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hamas scores with the left hand. Emelianenko knows he should have avoided that one.
Hamas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Emelianenko misses with a two punch combination.
Emelianenko swings widly with a right hand
and Hamas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hamas is looking to clinch.
Fedor Emelianenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hamas looks for a takedown but Emelianenko sprawls well.
Hamas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko misses with a wild combination.
Emelianenko keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Emelianenko blocks a head kick by Hamas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hamas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Emelianenko circles away.

Emelianenko takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Emelianenko throws a shot from downtown. Hamas moves away and avoids it.
Hamas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hamas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hamas.
Hamas is breathing heavily.
Emelianenko throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Emelianenko missing with a left hand there. Hamas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hamas fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Emelianenko looks to land a left hand but Hamas moved out of range nicely.
Hamas tries to clinch but Emelianenko is having none of it.
Hamas dodges the punch combination from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko looks to land a combination but Hamas avoids it well.
Emelianenko circles away from the clinch attempt.

A jab lands there for Emelianenko.
A big right from Emelianenko misses.
Emelianenko is looking to chop away at Hamas's legs.
Hamas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hamas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Emelianenko tries to avoid it but Hamas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Emelianenko to the ground. Emelianenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for Emelianenko.
Emelianenko throws out a loose jab but Hamas uses good head movement to avoid it.
Emelianenko misses with a jab, cross combination.
Emelianenko throws out a leg kick but Hamas moves out of range and Emelianenko only half commits.
Emelianenko scores with a sloppy right hand. Hamas should have avoided that one.
A jab from Emelianenko finds it's way through Hamas's defenses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Emelianenko misses with a hook.
Emelianenko connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Emelianenko looks to land a combination but Hamas avoids it well.
Emelianenko scores with a shot to the body.
Emelianenko is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hamas had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Emelianenko lunges at Hamas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hamas's hand.


Hamas is rocked!
Emelianenko is stalking Hamas. Hamas circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Emelianenko, and it's lights out! Hamas really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fedor Emelianenko!
Our winner, Fedor Emelianenko, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
