Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shotaro Botuca!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Botuca.
Valadez tries for a takedown but Botuca circles away easily
and Botuca counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Botuca dodges the punch combination from Valadez.
Botuca throws a head kick but Valadez moves out of range.
Valadez takes the fight into the clinch.
Valadez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Botuca gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Valadez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Valadez is looking to clinch but Botuca is avoiding it.
Valadez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Valadez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Botuca clinches.
Botuca blocks an elbow strike.
Botuca is pressed up against the cage. Valadez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Botuca down to the mat. Botuca avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Botuca tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Valadez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Botuca as he jumps to the side.
Valadez has a takedown stuffed.
Valadez is breathing heavily.
Botuca throws a head kick that misses.
Valadez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Botuca.
Botuca clinches up against the cage.
Botuca breaks from the clinch.
Botuca bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Botuca controlling the position.
Botuca wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Valadez, who protects the arm well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Botuca advances nicely into full mount.

Botuca content just to control the position here.
Botuca is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Valadez is forced to tap! Great finish!
