Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teriyaki Sukihara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Strike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fedor Strike has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teriyaki Sukihara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fedor Strike!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strike throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Strike shoots for a double leg takedown but Sukihara sprawls well. He's pushed Strike's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Strike closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sukihara to the mat! Sukihara manages to get full guard.

Strike avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Strike showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sukihara is looking for a triangle but Strike pushes his legs off easily.

Strike postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sukihara is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Strike, into his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sukihara decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sukihara dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Strike clinches up with Sukihara and pushes him back against the cage.

Strike gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Sukihara regains guard.
Strike looks gassed!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sukihara is on top in guard.

Sukihara drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sukihara jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Strike pulls Sukihara in close to prevent any damage.

Strike not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sukihara tries to free his leg and advance position but Strike is retaining full guard.

Strike is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Strike has a closed guard, preventing Sukihara from standing up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sukihara lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Strike backs up against the cage.
Sukihara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Strike moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Strike throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sukihara's head.

Strike has closed the distance and engaged Sukihara in a clinch.
Strike with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Strike has picked Sukihara up - he's going for a ride! Strike dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Strike has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Strike stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Strike gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Strike counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sukihara's guard now.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fedor Strike dominated that round.
That's time! Sukihara's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Strike misses with a jab, cross combination.
Strike moves in looking to clinch but Sukihara pushes him off.
Sukihara lands a two punch combo.
Sukihara throws a shot from downtown. Strike moves away and avoids it.

Sukihara feints and as Strike raises his hands in defense, Sukihara changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Strike wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Sukihara is now in half guard.

Sukihara seems to be looking for submissions.
Strike is refusing to be controlled, as Sukihara sits in half guard.
Strike is trying to maintain the position but Sukihara is very close to passing his half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Strike decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sukihara's guard.

Strike is stalling in the full guard.
Strike stands and throws Sukihara's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sukihara is looking to regain half guard here but Strike keeps moving and retains side control.

Strike decides to stand back up. Strike steps back and let's Sukihara get back to his feet.
A choreographed right hand from Sukihara misses the target.
Strike stuffs the takedown attempt from Sukihara. Sukihara gets slowly back to his feet.

Strike clinches with his opponent.
Sukihara tries to pull guard but Strike won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teriyaki Sukihara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sukihara tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Strike smiles and moves away.

Strike advances to mount.
Strike tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Strike stands up from mount. Strange move.
Strike moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sukihara misses with a two punch combination.

Strike looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sukihara is not content to let Strike control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sukihara moves into full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fedor Strike has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sukihara tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sukihara had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Strike is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sukihara Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Strike's back instead.

Fedor Strike showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Strike reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Strike taps out! nice BJJ there by Sukihara!
