Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timothy Bourque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Wattson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wattson has chosen Weapon Of Choice - Fatboy Slim as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wattson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bourque counters with a left and a right that stings Wattson.
Wattson tries to land a body kick
and Bourque counters with a one-two to the body.
Bourque throws a nice looking combination but Wattson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wattson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bourque darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Ron Wattson has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wattson misses with a low kick.
Wattson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bourque sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Bourque darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That has opened up Ron Wattson's cut even more.
Wattson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Bourque counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Wattson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bourque as he avoids it easily.
Timothy Bourque has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ron Wattson.

Wattson drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bourque preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Wattson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bourque looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bourque looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bourque!
Bourque will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bourque throws an elbow but Wattson slips to the side and avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wattson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bourque wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bourque stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Bourque really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wattson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bourque fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Wattson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wattson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bourque lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nice takedown defense from Bourque. No joy for Wattson on that attempt.

and Bourque connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The cut above Ron Wattson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Bourque throws a sloppy head kick and Wattson moves out of range easily.
Wattson misses with a series of wild punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bourque lands a big head kick that sends Wattson tumbling to the mat! Bourque takes a step backwards and waves Wattson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wattson is rocked!
Bourque dances in with a quick combination. Wattson is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Bourque snaps Wattson's head back. Wattson stumbles backwards against the cage. Bourque steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Wattson's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Wattson just didn't come prepared.
