Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkoff fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khaliev manages to avoid it.
Khaliev is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Volkoff throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Khaliev uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Volkoff.
Khaliev shoots and misses
and Volkoff counters with a left to the body.
Volkoff keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Volkoff stuns Khaliev with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Adam Khaliev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Khaliev does no damage.
Volkoff misses with an uppercut. Khaliev saw that one coming.
Khaliev misses with a takedown
and Volkoff counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Volkoff misses with a straight left.
Khaliev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Volkoff manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Volkoff misses with a wild combination.

Khaliev ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Volkoff swings away with a body shot that misses
and Khaliev counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Volkoff is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Nikolai Volkoff is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Volkoff looks to score with a jab to the body but Khaliev is just out of range.
Volkoff on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Volkoff punishes Khaliev's body with a nice straight punch.
Khaliev is breathing heavily.
Volkoff misses with a straight right.
Volkoff pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Khaliev avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Volkoff circles away from the clinch attempt.
Volkoff lands with a cross.
Khaliev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Volkoff is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Khaliev rather than just go for the knockout.

Volkoff swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Volkoff lands a jab to Khaliev's midsection.
Volkoff fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Khaliev looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Volkoff throws a right and a left that Khaliev avoids nicely.
Khaliev takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Khaliev's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Volkoff connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Khaliev scrambles back to his feet.
Volkoff lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Volkoff jabs at Khaliev's body.
Volkoff fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Khaliev looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Volkoff should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Khaliev closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Khaliev is rocked!
Khaliev needs to keep his hands up - Volkoff had a free shot at his head there.
Oh Khaliev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Volkoff swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Volkoff feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Khaliev crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nikolai Volkoff!
