Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vash Gregovich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximus Meridius! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gregovich circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gregovich swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gregovich takes a swing at Meridius's ribcage but misses. Meridius doesn't manage to clinch there - Gregovich circles away.

Gregovich swats away the attempt to clinch by Meridius. Meridius tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gregovich paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gregovich misses with a jab, cross combination.
Meridius keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gregovich fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Meridius, pushing him back against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Meridius.
Gregovich breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gregovich rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Meridius moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gregovich misses with a few strikes there.
Meridius closes the distance and lands a one-two. Meridius closes the distance but Gregovich moves to the side and Gregovich counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Maximus Meridius has been cut. Meridius clinches but Gregovich breaks the clinch and Gregovich counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Meridius working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gregovich doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Meridius is tightening it up a little... Gregovich has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Gregovich reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Gregovich taps out! nice BJJ there by Meridius!
