The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gibbs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gibbs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Morrow misses with a few strikes there.
Gibbs is trying hard to land a takedown here. Morrow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Morrow displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gibbs.

Gibbs takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Morrow counters with a two punch combo.
Gibbs looks for a takedown but Morrow sprawls well.
Morrow looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Morrow misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Morrow throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gibbs counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gibbs shoots in looking for a takedown. Morrow tries to sprawl out of it but Gibbs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morrow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Morrow throws a push kick but Gibbs slaps the foot to one side.

Morrow dives in and scores a takedown into Gibbs's guard.
Gibbs is breathing heavily.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Morrow sitting in guard here, content to control.
Morrow postures up in Gibbs's guard and throws a big left but Gibbs blocks it.
Morrow trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Morrow working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gibbs's head.

Morrow throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gibbs works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Morrow gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Gibbs gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Morrow won't allow Gibbs to get back to his feet.
Morrow cracks Gibbs with a solid left hand.

Morrow gets to his feet - Gibbs follows without any prompting.
Morrow throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Morrow shoots in and gets a takedown into Gibbs's guard.

Morrow stands and steps away. Gibbs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Gibbs closes this distance looking for a takedown but Morrow circles away.
Morrow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Morrow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gibbs circles away quickly and effectively.

Gibbs gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gibbs has Morrow pulled in close to control his posture.

Morrow cracks Gibbs with a solid left hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Morrow's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Morrow wants to control from the top but Gibbs keeps moving.
Morrow forces his way into half guard.
Morrow looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gibbs with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Morrow lands strikes from half guard.
Morrow controlling the action here.
Morrow seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Morrow works his foot free and advances to mount.
Gibbs takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Morrow is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Morrow prevents Gibbs from getting the reversal.
Morrow pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clarence Morrow dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nice takedown defense from Gibbs. No joy for Morrow on that attempt.

Gibbs feints and as Morrow raises his hands in defense, Gibbs changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gibbs wants to control from the top but Morrow keeps moving.
Morrow is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Morrow landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Morrow passes into side control, despite Gibbs's attempt to control the position.
Morrow is putting a hurting on Gibbs here, landing some big shots from side control.

Morrow decides to stand back up. Morrow steps back and let's Gibbs get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Morrow gets a takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Morrow has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gibbs defend it? Morrow steps over the head and cranks it - Gibbs is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Morrow!
