Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cobra Pardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Panu Potko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cobra Pardy! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Panu Potko! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potko gets the takedown into side control. Pardy is trying to get back to half guard. Potko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Potko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pardy tries to bench press Potko off him but Potko keeps the position. Potko working away. Potko tries for a kimura but Pardy is defending well. Potko tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pardy sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Potko is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Pardy still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Pardy has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
That's one minute gone in the round. Pardy avoids the strikes from the bottom by Potko. Pardy in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Pardy connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Potko some visible discomfort.
Pardy landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Pardy trying to control the position but Potko is working away. Pardy lands a nice forearm strike. Potko sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Pardy landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Pardy is keen to just control but Potko is a slippery customer. Pardy is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Potko looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Potko looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pardy keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Pardy prevents Potko from improving his position. Pardy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Pardy stands up from half guard. Pardy has a takedown stuffed. Potko tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Pardy throws a nice looking combination but Potko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pardy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pardy fails to land with a series of punches.
Pardy throws a head kick but Potko moves out of range.
Pardy gets caught flat footed, as Potko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potko is looking to work some ground and pound but Pardy has wrist control. Pardy working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Potko. Potko pushes down on Pardy's leg and manages to get into half guard. Potko passes the guard and advances to mount! Pardy is squirming around, avoiding Potko's attempts to control the action. Pardy defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Potko. Pardy can't escape the position.
Potko landing shots from mount. Potko is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Pardy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Potko jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pardy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pardy and Potko has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Pardy is trying to get back to half guard. Potko is working to tighten is grip on Pardy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Pardy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Potko is really squeezing tight and eventually Pardy passes out! Potko breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
