Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leo Pardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Araya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Araya has chosen Tiger Army - Pain as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leo Pardy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lars Araya! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pardy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Leo Pardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pardy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Some wild striking there from Pardy.
Pardy throws a series of punches but Araya moves out of range. Pardy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A head kick misses from Pardy. Pardy throws a right and a left that Araya avoids nicely. Pardy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Araya takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Araya throws a right hand that Pardy ducks under and follows up with a left that Pardy also avoids with ease. Araya bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pardy is looking for a sweep. Pardy is trying to work for a sweep but Araya has mounted him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Pardy tries to lock up and control but Araya gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Araya takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Let's hope that Araya has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pardy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pardy is working hard here to advance position. Pardy tries to buck Araya off but he can't manage it. Araya controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pardy taking shots to the head. Araya tries to control but Pardy wriggling away. Pardy tries to hold on but Araya pushes him away. Pardy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Araya avoids the attempt from Pardy to control. Pardy is breathing heavily. Araya looking to control and managing it successfully. Pardy has given up his back here.
Pardy tries to escape but Araya has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Araya scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Araya really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Pardy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lars Araya dominated that round. That's time! Pardy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pardy throws a combination that misses and Pardy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pardy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Araya counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pardy is trying to get back to full guard. Araya seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pardy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pardy wants to improve his position but Araya is controlling well.
Pardy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Araya's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Araya's back! Araya is trying to break free.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pardy is trying to stick to Araya's back but Araya is turning into Pardy. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Pardy's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Araya. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pardy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pardy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Araya controls the pace. Pardy tries to land a sweep but no joy. Araya controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Pardy trying to keep a closed guard but Araya is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Araya is looking to stand up but Pardy won't let him. Pardy is pulling down on Araya's head. It's preventing any offense from Araya, at least for the moment. Pardy looking to control.
Pardy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Araya is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pardy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Araya's back instead. Araya preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Pardy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Araya turns into Pardy and is now in his guard.
Pardy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Araya controls the pace. Araya stopping the sweep attempt from Pardy. Pardy throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Araya pushes down on Pardy's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pardy is doing well to control the position and prevent Araya from advancing to side control. Pardy tries to get to full guard but Araya has control of the leg. Pardy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pardy looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lars Araya showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Pardy throws a head kick that misses. A jab from Pardy misses. Pardy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Araya counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Araya. Pardy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Araya has Pardy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pardy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Araya looking for a takedown. Pardy tries to land a knee to the head but Araya blocks with his arms.
Pardy is trying to maintain a safe position but Araya gets an underhook and turns Pardy into the cage. Pardy can't break the clinch.

Pardy is looking to regain half guard here but Araya keeps moving and retains side control. Pardy manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Pardy wants to improve his position but Araya is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Araya controlling the pace. Pardy is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Araya jumps into side control! Pardy tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Pardy reaches up to try and control the position but Araya seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Pardy rolls and tries to escape and now Araya has his back!
Araya has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Pardy's body.
Araya wants to control but Pardy is keeping busy. I really don't envy Pardy right now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Pardy is really stuck here.
Pardy wants to control his opponent's hands but Araya gets his hands free. Pardy tries to break free.

And that's the end of the fight! Lars Araya comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Araya has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
