Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cyprien Noe Cyr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lei has chosen Closer as his entrance music. Cyprien Noe Cyr could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Louis Lei's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cyprien Noe Cyr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Louis Lei!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cyr.

Lei throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Cyr throws a nice looking combination but Lei bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lei scores with a push kick.
Cyr tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lei thumps Cyr with a low kick.
Lei tries to close the distance and clinch but Cyr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lei connects with a nasty looking knee right to Cyr's face.
With the fighters up against the cage, Lei throws an elbow but misses.
Lei pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Lei tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Lei tries to land a knee to the head but Cyr blocks with his arms.
Cyr drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lei gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Cyr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Louis Lei is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lei tries a head kick but it misses.
Some wild striking there from Cyr.
Lei throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Lei fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lei misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cyr will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lei swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lei stuffs the takedown attempt from Cyr. Cyr gets slowly back to his feet.
Cyr throws a low kick but Lei avoids it.
Lei throws a quick inside leg kick.

Cyr tries to sprawl but Lei drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cyr is staying active underneath Lei, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cyr moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Cyr drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lei looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lei looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lei!
Cyr can't do much from the bottom here.

Cyr sneaks back into half guard.
Cyr wants to control but Lei is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Lei wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cyr keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cyr tries to get to full guard but Lei has control of the leg.
Lei wants to free his trapped foot but Cyr is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Lei is looking to take a break and control but Cyr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cyprien Noe Cyr overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lei seems to be looking for submissions.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cyr wants to improve his position but Lei is controlling well.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Cyr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lei sprawls well. Lei wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cyr gets slowly back to his feet.
Cyprien Noe Cyr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lei turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cyr misses with a double jab.

Cyr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lei but Lei pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Louis Lei comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lei has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
