Goat has chosen Impaled Nazarene - Cult of the Goat as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Goat.
Goat throws a low kick but Gomi avoids it.
Goat looks to score with a jab to the body but Gomi is just out of range.
Gomi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Goat throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gomi.
Goat throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gomi thuds his right hand into Goat's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Goat motions for Gomi to come forward. Goat throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Gomi cracks Goat with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Goat fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gomi manages to avoid it.

Goat lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Gomi is in a horrible position here. Goat smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Gomi's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Goat drops back looking for a leg! Gomi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gomi manages to kick Goat off! Goat jumps back into Gomi's guard.

Gomi is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Gomi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Goat is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gomi.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gomi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Goat shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gomi sprawls well. Gomi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Goat gets slowly back to his feet.

Goat tries to move into range but Gomi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Goat.

Gomi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Goat's head.

It looks like Billy Goat has been cut.
Goat changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gomi tries to avoid it but Goat manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gomi to the ground. Gomi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Gomi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Goat's knee momentarily.

Goat takes a kick to the side of the head.
Gomi looks to throw the jab but Goat is out of range.

Gomi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gomi cracks Goat with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Goat's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gomi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Goat scrambles back to his feet.

Horrible takedown by Gomi or perhaps it was just good defense by Goat which made him look bad.

Gomi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Goat sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Goat punishes Gomi's body with a nice straight punch.
Gomi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Goat.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Goat. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Goat checks a leg kick.

Gomi lands with a kick to the temple. Goat shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Gomi shoots in for a double leg but Goat sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Gomi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Goat throws a front kick aimed at Gomi's knee but Gomi avoids it well.

Gomi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Goat circles away quickly and effectively.
