Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Perkele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goran Persson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Perkele might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Danzig - I Don't Mind The Pain . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Perkele throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Perkele swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Persson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perkele moves away.
Pekka Perkele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perkele defending well as Persson loads up on a big left hand.

Perkele lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Persson at a distance.
Persson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perkele sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Persson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Goran Persson has been cut.

Perkele is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Persson.
Persson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Perkele. Perkele circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Perkele on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Perkele stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That has opened up Goran Persson's cut even more.

Persson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Persson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Perkele.
Perkele throws a looping overhand right but Persson ducks down to avoid it.
Persson misses with a straight right.
Persson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Persson scores with a nice right hand.
Persson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Perkele throws out the jab.
Persson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Perkele had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Persson stuns Perkele with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Persson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Perkele's hands.

Oooooh!!! Perkele has knocked Persson down with a huge combo! Perkele steps away and waves a wobbly Persson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Goran Persson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
