Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Jones!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee has his takedown stuffed
and Jones counters with a one-two to the body.
Jones throws a jab when Lee was well out of range.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lee shoots and misses
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
Lee slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That kick from Jones tenderised Lee's leg. Lee is trying to keep his angry face on.

Jones throws a push kick but Lee slaps the foot to one side.
Jones misses with a leg kick.
Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jones counters with a good, hard body kick but Lee shrugs it off.
Good leg kick by Jones there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jones stuffs the takedown.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Lee steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Jones scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Lee dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Lee's head and hops out.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jones feints and then cracks Lee's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lee down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.

Jones looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.
Lee is trying to get back to full guard.
Jones looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Jones works his way into full mount!
Jones looking to control but Lee is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jones working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Jones is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Jones swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lee is now in Jones's guard. A big mistake from Jones there, giving up the dominant position!

Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lee defends well.
Lee seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lee is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but Lee has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Jones dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Lee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jones feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lee holds on and takes a little breather.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Peter Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Lee moves out of range as Jones throws a body kick.
Lee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely.
Jones tests Lee's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jones misses with a low kick.
Jones lands a jab to Lee's midsection.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jones gets a double leg takedown into Lee's guard.

Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jones trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jones postures up.
Lee pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Lee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Lee finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lee engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lee trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lee shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jones wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones gets back to full guard.
Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Peter Jones has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lee keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Jones throws a looping overhand right but Lee ducks down to avoid it.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jones misses with a low kick.
Lee moves out of range of the leg kick from Jones.
Jones tries to work over Lee's front leg with a kick but Lee checks it.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.

and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Lee will be more careful next time no doubt.

Jones scores with the left hand. Lee knows he should have avoided that one.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Lee throws an elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lee's guard. Nice move by Jones!
Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lee's guard.

Lee wants to get back to full guard.
Jones content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Eric Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jones tries to pass to full mount but Lee defends it.
Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Lee is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Peter Jones wasn't active enough on the ground.
Jones takes a swing at Lee's ribcage but misses.
Lee lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Jones changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Jones cracks Lee with a good jab.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lee sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones wants to take a breather but Lee is having none of it.
Lee manages to get to full guard.
Lee controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.

Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jones has control of Lee's left arm, preventing Lee from doing any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Peter Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Jones misses with a body shot.
Jones jabs Lee right on the nose. Lee blinks but takes it well.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Jones keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lee.
Jones connects with a body shot that sends Lee's belly button to the back.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
