Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bettar Thanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roope Tarvainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Bettar Thanu has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bettar Thanu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roope Tarvainen!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarvainen thows a body shot but no joy.
Thanu tries to close the distance and clinch but Tarvainen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Tarvainen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Thanu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tarvainen is standing up over Thanu. Thanu looks to escape but Tarvainen dives into side control.

Tarvainen is landing with some decent strikes but Thanu is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Let's hope that Tarvainen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tarvainen throws a hook to the side of Thanu's head but Thanu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tarvainen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Thanu to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Thanu shrugs it off.

You get the feeling that Thanu really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Roope Tarvainen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
