Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmond Honda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edmond Honda is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Cormier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Edmond Honda! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Honda looks to score with a jab to the body but Cormier is just out of range. Honda connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A combination from Cormier does no damage. Cormier looks to land a combination but Honda avoids it well. Cormier shoots in for a takedown but Honda shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Daniel Cormier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cormier lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Honda circles away quickly and effectively. Cormier doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nice jab there from Honda. Cormier cracks a nice hook into Honda's ribs. Cormier throws a shot from downtown. Honda moves away and avoids it. A punch combination from Cormier misses. Honda lands a head kick. Cormier smiles back at him and beckons him forward. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Honda leaves Cormier with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Honda misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Honda connects with the punch. Honda ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Cormier misses with a body shot.
Honda cracks Cormier with a good jab. Cormier misses with a takedown attempt and Honda counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Cormier. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cormier tries to clinch but Honda moves out of range. Honda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cormier manages to avoid it. Cormier tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Honda swivels and escapes. Cormier gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Honda. Cormier falls off balance throwing a combination
and Honda counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cormier throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Honda fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cormier looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Honda thuds a left hand into Cormier's body. No joy there for Cormier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Honda has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Honda with a nice cross. Cormier misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cormier takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Honda misses with a wild body shot. Cormier misses the shot to the body. Jab by Honda. Honda defending well as Cormier loads up on a big left hand. Edmond Honda is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cormier misses with a double jab
and Honda connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Honda wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Honda jabs at Cormier's body. Cormier shoots for a takedown but Honda saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. No luck for Cormier with that takedown attempt. Cormier takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Cormier falls off balance throwing a combination
and Honda counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Honda looks to score with a jab to the body but Cormier is just out of range. Honda throws a head kick that misses. Cormier works Honda's body with a nice hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cormier takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Cormier is rocked! Are you kidding me?! Honda ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Cormier clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Edmond Honda! After winning the bout, Edmond Honda thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
