PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ilja Vasuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddi Zoom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasuta comes into the arena with E.S. Posthumus Unstoppable blaring out of the sound system. Zoom has chosen Thunder Struck - ACDC as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Zoom or perhaps it was just good defense by Vasuta which made him look bad.

Vasuta shoots in and gets a takedown into Zoom's guard.
Vasuta wants to control from the top but Zoom keeps moving.
Zoom is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vasuta is controlling him.

Vasuta drops back looking for a leg! Zoom is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zoom manages to kick Vasuta off! Vasuta jumps back into Zoom's guard.

Zoom throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vasuta lands a two punch combo.

Vasuta closes the distance and pushes Zoom back into the cage.

Vasuta has picked Zoom up - he's going for a ride! Vasuta dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Vasuta takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Vasuta is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Zoom has managed to free his arm - good work.

Vasuta is working for a kimura but Zoom is defending it quite comfortably.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zoom pushes Vasuta off looking to stand but Vasuta dives back in and keeps control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vasuta is looking for a kimura but Zoom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vasuta to get the leverage.

Zoom is defending against the submission attempts here by Vasuta.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vasuta thows a huge punch but Zoom dodges it nicely.
Vasuta will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vasuta passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Zoom!
