Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Mctwist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vazren Rigogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rigogo has chosen Parapapapa as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oliver Mctwist!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vazren Rigogo!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rigogo throws a head kick but Mctwist moves out of range.
Mctwist drops his hands momentarily and Rigogo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Rigogo misses with a head kick.
Rigogo tries to move into range but Mctwist moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


It looks like Vazren Rigogo has been cut.
Mctwist misses with a looping left.
Mctwist thows a body shot but no joy.
Rigogo throws a leg kick but Mctwist moved away.
Mctwist throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rigogo counters with a head kick. That will keep Mctwist thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rigogo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mctwist throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mctwist fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rigogo manages to avoid it.
Rigogo throws a head kick that misses.
Mctwist getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Rigogo tries a head kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mctwist throws a lazy right hand but Rigogo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rigogo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mctwist thows a body shot but no joy.
Mctwist throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rigogo checks a leg kick nicely.

Rigogo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mctwist is looking for a sweep.
Mctwist is working hard here to advance position.
Mctwist regains half guard.

Well, if Rigogo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mctwist is looking for a sweep. Rigogo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rigogo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Rigogo trying to control from half guard but Mctwist is working away.
Rigogo content to control rather than advance.
Mctwist might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Vazren Rigogo was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Rigogo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rigogo tries a head kick but it misses.
Rigogo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Mctwist counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rigogo thinking.
Rigogo looks to land a left hand but Mctwist moved out of range nicely.
Rigogo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mctwist lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Mctwist lands a jab to Rigogo's midsection.
Mctwist avoids the head kick by Rigogo.
Rigogo looks gassed!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mctwist connects with a body shot.
Rigogo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Mctwist steps in with a hook that catches Rigogo right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Mctwist follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Rigogo looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oliver Mctwist!
