The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bert takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bert fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jamie Rolland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slug Bert.

Slug Bert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rolland throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bert stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rolland feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bert sprawling to the canvas! Bert rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rolland finish him?!
Bert is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rolland ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bert moves away.
Bert changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rolland looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rolland holds on to Bert's head and controls the position momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rolland darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bert dives in and grabs Rolland's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rolland pushes down on Bert's head and hops out.

Bert glances at the clock... BAM! Rolland nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Bert crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Bert is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
