Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Guillermo Espada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erick Nuno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Guillermo Espada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Erick Nuno! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Espada falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nuno counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Espada is trying to stand.
Nuno throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Nuno trying to control from half guard but Espada is working away. Nuno stops Espada from getting back to his feet.
Nuno lands strikes from half guard. Espada tries to kick Nuno off but Nuno keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Nuno is trying to control the action in half guard but Espada is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Espada is trying to stand up here but Nuno is controlling him well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nuno is figuring out what he wants to do next. Nuno is trying to work for a kimura but Espada is defending well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Nuno prevents Espada from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Espada is trying to stand back up but Nuno is controlling him
Nuno trying to control the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nuno prevents Espada from standing back up.
Nuno content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Erick Nuno has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Nuno shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Espada sprawls well. Espada wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nuno gets slowly back to his feet. Espada takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nuno cracks a nice hook into Espada's ribs. Nuno has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Left hook, right uppercut from Espada. Espada misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nuno shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Espada's guard. Nuno throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Espada is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Nuno must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nuno scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Nuno trying to control the position from guard on top but Espada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nuno wants to pass the guard but Espada is keeping the position. Espada wants to stand up but Nuno is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nuno working some strikes from top position. Espada keeping moving, preventing Nuno from controlling successfully. Espada wants to stand and escape but Nuno is having none of it. Nuno is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nuno uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Espada.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Espada looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Espada throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nuno. Nuno changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Espada looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Nuno content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Espada is pushing Nuno's head away, looking to escape. Nuno manages to hold on to the position though. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Nuno trying to control the action but Espada is working from the bottom. Nuno working the head with strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nuno looks up at the clock and then as Espada takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nuno smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Espada is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nuno asserts his dominance and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Erick Nuno dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nuno is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Espada like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Espada from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Erick Nuno! An out of breath and clearly excited Erick Nuno thanked Das Labor for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
