Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snake Eater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Von Han (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Han has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Snake Eater! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Von Han! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Han avoids the body shot from Eater.
Han looks gassed! Eater fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Han sprawls well initially but Eater persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Eater could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Eater wants to take a breather but Han is having none of it. Eater not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Eater wants to pass to mount but Han is defending the position. Eater trying to control from half guard but Han is working away. Eater wants to pass the guard but Han is defending well. Eater is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Snake Eater wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Han tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Eater was well out of range. Poor timing from Han. Han with a hook. Eater fails with a takedown attempt. Han throws a low kick but Eater moves out of range easily. Han circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Eater looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Eater looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Eater. Eater trying to control the action but Han is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eater is trying to get an arm triangle but Han is defending well. Eater wants to control but Han is keeping him busy. Eater is really struggling to control Han but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eater is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Han is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Han wants to get back to his feet but Eater drags him back down. Eater tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Eater throws an elbow but Han slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eater is looking to take a break and control but Han is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Han can't do much from the bottom here. Eater working the ground and pound. Eater tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Snake Eater dominated that round. That's time! Eater's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Eater shoots in for a takedown but Han shows good takedown defense. Von Han seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eater bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Eater is looking to take a break and control but Han is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Han struggling a bit here. Han is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eater postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Eater scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Han to see if he's OK. Eater is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Han knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Eater is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Han has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eater tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Eater has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Han is not content to let Eater control the position. Han is looking to regain half guard here but Eater keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eater wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Han, who protects the arm well. An elbow from Eater crashes against the mat.
Eater tries to advance to mount but Han instead regains half guard. Eater throwing shots but Han is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eater wants to take a breather but Han is having none of it. Eater is just content to waste time from the top position. Han takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Eater trying to control but Han is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Snake Eater dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Han tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Eater wants to clinch. Han misses with a low kick as Eater jumps back. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Han checks a leg kick. Eater fails to land the takedown. Eater fails with a takedown attempt. Han keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Snake Eater. That's going to take a lot out of him. Eater thows a left - swing and a miss! Han throws a body punch but Eater moves out of range. Han takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eater wants to clinch up but Han keeps it at a distance. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Eater is defended easily by Han. Han ducks under a wild hook from Eater. Eater blocks a low kick nicely. A leg kick checked by Han. Eater fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Han avoids it really well and circles away. Eater throws a head kick but Han moves out of range.
Han stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Han wants it to stay on the feet. Eater avoids the head kick by Han.
Von Han has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eater misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Eater tries to clinch but Han moves out of range. No luck with that takedown attempt from Eater. Eater shoots for a takedown but Han saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Han uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Eater. Han slaps away a takedown attempt from Eater, before circling back to the center of the mat. Eater tries to clinch up. Eater ducks under a wild hook from Han. Eater fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Eater is trying hard to land a takedown here. Han sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Eater fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Han. That's going to slow Eater down. No luck for Eater with that takedown attempt. Eater shoots in for a takedown but Han shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Han lands a nice looking body shot.

Eater shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Han but Han pushes him off and we're back to square one. Eater tries to close the distance and clinch up but Han swats him away and circles back towards the center. Han fails in his attempt to clinch. Eater fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Han swats away the attempt to clinch by Eater. Snake Eater is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Han throws a push kick but Eater slaps the foot to one side.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Snake Eater. Well Eater has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
