Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, GameBred Bjj!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Garcilazo!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcilazo closes the distance and clinches.

Garcilazo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bjj is pushing Garcilazo up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Bjj will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jose Garcilazo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Garcilazo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Garcilazo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Garcilazo throws a lazy right hand but Bjj sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Garcilazo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bjj manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bjj could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Bjj tries to sprawl but Garcilazo drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Garcilazo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bjj knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Garcilazo wants to take a breather but Bjj is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of GameBred Bjj.
Bjj swings for the body but Garcilazo moves out of range.

Well Garcilazo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
