Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Onizuka is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Chekhemani's half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Onizuka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Chekhemani has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Onizuka content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Chekhemani has locked up a guillotine! Chekhemani's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Onizuka is holding on here and Chekhemani must be using up a lot of energy. Onizuka has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Chekhemani gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
