The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos throws a leg kick that is checked
and Smith counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Smith staying out of range there.
Aaron Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dos Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Smith lands with a nice combination. Dos Santos backs away looking to recover.

Dos Santos shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith pushes a forearm under Dos Santos's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Dos Santos is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
