Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Georgie Landis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Cragen!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cragen misses with a takedown attempt - Landis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Landis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Cragen has his takedown stuffed
and Landis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Landis clinches up with Cragen and pushes him back against the cage.
Landis tries to break free but Cragen pushes him back against the cage.
Cragen is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Landis is defending well.
Georgie Landis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Cragen.
Cragen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Landis after a bit of a struggle.

Landis manages to break the clinch.

Landis closes the distance and pushes Cragen back into the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Landis throws an elbow but misses.
Cragen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Cragen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Landis walks away with a smile on his face. Cragen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Cragen drives through with a takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cragen trying to control the position from guard on top but Landis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Landis wants to sweep but no luck.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cragen is fighting to break Landis's control of his arms but Landis is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Georgie Landis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Cragen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Landis's waist but Landis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cragen off to one side.
Cragen closes the distance and clinches up with Landis, looking for a takedown. Cragen pushes Landis against the cage but Landis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Landis lands with an uppercut that bounces Cragen off the cage and back into range.
Cragen fails with the takedown
and Landis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Landis misses the shot to the body.
Landis connects with a single shot there.
Don Cragen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cragen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Landis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cragen on the side of the head.


It looks like Don Cragen has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cragen misses with the combination.
Cragen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Landis as he avoids it easily.
Cragen looks gassed!
Landis connects with a body shot that sends Cragen's belly button to the back.

Cragen gets tackled into the cage by Landis. Landis maintains the clinch.
Landis slows down the pace here.

Cragen gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cragen throwing strikes from guard but Landis blocks nicely.
Landis wants to sweep but no luck.
Landis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Landis tries to get out of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Landis controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Georgie Landis just wasn't active enough.
Nice sprawl there from Landis as Cragen shoots in.
Landis uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cragen.

Landis sends Cragen crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Landis is motioning to the referee to let Cragen up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Cragen is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Landis throws a sloppy head kick and Cragen moves out of range easily.
Cragen is still on wobbly legs! Can Landis finish him?
Landis is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Cragen hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Georgie Landis!
