Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Igor Vovchanchyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Maki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vovchanchyn comes to the ring accompanied by Lights Out by Morbid Angel. Maki is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Harvester of Sorrow. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maki instigates a clinch.
Maki putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Vovchanchyn in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Vovchanchyn is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vovchanchyn takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Igor Vovchanchyn has been cut.
Vovchanchyn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Maki drops Vovchanchyn with a big knee! Will Vovchanchyn beat the count? Yep, he's up already and we're only at 3... let's see if he's just faking it or if he's actually OK.
Maki misses with the combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Maki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Maki scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Maki thuds his shin into the meat of Vovchanchyn's side.
Maki moves into the clinch successfully.

Maki creates a bit of space and fires a knee right up the middle, almost lifting Vovchanchyn off his feet and sending him crashing to the canvas! Vovchanchyn is trying to get back to his feet but his equilibrium is completely gone! The referee has called it off! This fight is over! Maki is jumping up and down like a mad man, celebrating with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Kai Maki!
