Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Justin Textmark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Brown! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brown throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A jab from Brown misses. Brown misses with a wild combination.
Nice takedown defense from Brown. No joy for Textmark on that attempt. Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Textmark. Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Brown misses with a double jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Brown.
It looks like Justin Textmark has been cut. Textmark bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Brown is rocked! Textmark thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Brown is still in real trouble! Can Textmark finish him? Textmark looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Textmark tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Textmark has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Brown seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Textmark works to advance to full mount. Brown defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Brown wants to hold on but Textmark pushes him away. Textmark has hold of Brown's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Brown manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Brown is working to get back to half guard.
Textmark working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Textmark is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Brown is working to get back to half guard.
Brown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Textmark is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Brown is surviving well by controlling Textmark's body position as best he can. Textmark avoids the attempt from Brown to control. Brown wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown tries to get back to half guard but can't. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth. Brown tries to improve his position but Textmark has taken his back! Textmark has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Brown tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Textmark pushes Brown away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
