Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry McKinnon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Klaas & Bodybangers - Freak. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bubby Brown! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry McKinnon! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKinnon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McKinnon. McKinnon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. McKinnon tries to get to his feet but Brown is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with McKinnon in his guard. McKinnon trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McKinnon stands up from guard. Let's bang! McKinnon lands a body shot.
McKinnon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Brown counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McKinnon! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brown is landing with some decent strikes but McKinnon is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Brown landing strikes from the mount and McKinnon is in trouble!
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown landing strikes from the mount. McKinnon is wriggling around trying to escape.
Brown scoring with strikes but McKinnon is staying in there. McKinnon is looking to improve his position but Brown isn't that keen on the idea. Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. McKinnon tries to lock up and control but Brown gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Brown could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Brown controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown prevents McKinnon from getting the reversal. Brown in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Brown putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brown goes for an armbar but McKinnon turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McKinnon. McKinnon trying to stand up but can't free himself from Brown's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKinnon lands a couple of digs. McKinnon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Brown is looking for a triangle but McKinnon pushes his legs off easily.
McKinnon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brown is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McKinnon, into his guard. Brown prevents McKinnon from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McKinnon doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Brown controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Brown wants to pass the guard but McKinnon is keeping the position. Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McKinnon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brown defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bubby Brown will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
McKinnon darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Brown manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McKinnon on his heels. He'll look to pass McKinnon's guard now, I'm sure. Brown controls from within his opponent's guard. Brown has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. McKinnon controls Brown momentarily but Brown frees himself. Brown advances to half guard. Brown is looking for a kimura but McKinnon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brown to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKinnon works his way to full guard. Good work. McKinnon is trying to control the position but Brown postures up. McKinnon wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McKinnon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brown doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brown manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. McKinnon keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass. McKinnon will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown gets to his feet. McKinnon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! McKinnon moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. McKinnon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brown as he jumps to the side. McKinnon digs a good hook to Brown's body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brown is looking to clinch. Brown tries to clinch but fails miserably and McKinnon counters with a three punch combo that has Brown backing up. Brown nods at McKinnon to acknowledge the strikes. McKinnon scores with a jab to the body. McKinnon scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jab from McKinnon. McKinnon lands a right hook to the body.
McKinnon throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKinnon looks to land a combination but Brown avoids it well. Barry McKinnon seems to be getting the better of the standup. McKinnon cracks Brown with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Brown keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. McKinnon scores with a body shot.
Brown takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by McKinnon!
Brown drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brown misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown decides to stand back up. Brown steps back and let's McKinnon get back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McKinnon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bubby Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry McKinnon. A left and a right from McKinnon both land. Nice combination. Brown closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Brown blocks a head kick by McKinnon.
McKinnon is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. McKinnon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barry McKinnon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown shoots in and bounces McKinnon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Brown controlling from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Barry McKinnon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
McKinnon shoots in but Brown avoids the takedown attempt easily. Brown misses with an attempted mid kick.
Brown keeps the fight on the outside. McKinnon throws a one two combo.

McKinnon connects with a body shot that sends Brown's belly button to the back. Brown wants to clinch up but McKinnon keeps it at a distance. A jab from McKinnon does it's job there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Brown moves in looking to clinch but McKinnon pushes him off. Good standup being displayed there by McKinnon as he connects with a hook. Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McKinnon.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKinnon lands a jab to the head.

McKinnon is looking to take a break and control but Brown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McKinnon tries for a kimura but Brown is defending well. Bubby Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McKinnon in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Brown is trying to improve his position. You can see the frustration on Brown's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McKinnon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brown is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. McKinnon cracks Brown with a big right hand but Brown just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
McKinnon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brown sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. McKinnon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Brown knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. McKinnon winds up and cracks Brown with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKinnon wants to take a breather but Brown is having none of it. McKinnon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. McKinnon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working. Brown wants to control but McKinnon is keeping busy.
McKinnon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Bubby Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brown closes the distance and pushes McKinnon back into the cage. Brown prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown gets a trip takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. McKinnon manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but McKinnon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McKinnon is keeping the position for now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brown postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McKinnon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that's the end of the fight! Barry McKinnon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think McKinnon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
