Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Denis Andreas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leopold Stotch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andreas comes into the arena with Dragging Dead Bodies in Blue Bags Up Really Long Hills blaring out of the sound system. Denis Andreas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leopold Stotch! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stotch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Andreas as he jumps to the side. Andreas rushes Stotch and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Stotch is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Andreas is defending well. Andreas landing knees to the body.

Andreas lands an elbow just above Stotch 's eye. Andreas stops a takedown attempt from Stotch.
Denis Andreas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leopold Stotch. Andreas scores a nice knee to the body.
Stotch looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stotch wants to take the fight to the mat but Andreas manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Stotch is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Andreas can't fight it off and eventually Stotch manages to take the fight to the floor. Andreas looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Andreas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Stotch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Andreas works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stotch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andreas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Andreas will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Stotch throwing strikes from guard but Andreas blocks nicely. Andreas wants to sweep here but Stotch controlling him for the moment. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stotch looking to sit in guard and control but Andreas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Andreas wants to control from the top but Stotch keeps moving. Andreas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andreas tries to free his leg and advance position but Stotch is retaining full guard. Andreas wants to stand but Stotch has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Stotch keeping moving, preventing Andreas from controlling successfully. Andreas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stotch, up you get! Stotch throws a right and a left that both miss. Andreas thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Stotch if he has to take too many more of those.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. Stotch is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Andreas pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Stotch is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Andreas is fighting off a takedown attempt but Stotch is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Andreas to the mat. Andreas regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Andreas wants to hit a switch here but Stotch passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Andreas there! Andreas flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Andreas working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stotch has hold of one of Andreas's legs. Andreas is fighting the takedown attempt but Stotch gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Stotch with a nice head shot there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stotch trying to control the position from guard on top but Andreas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Andreas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stotch is one step ahead there. That's two minutes gone in the round. Stotch tries to land a sweep but no joy. Andreas passes Stotch's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Andreas is trying to control. Stotch wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Andreas prevents Stotch from standing back up.

Denis Andreas has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Andreas gets in close and instigates a clinch. Stotch changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Andreas fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stotch takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Andreas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Andreas lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stotch at a distance.
Denis Andreas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stotch avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stotch fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Andreas scores with a nice right hand.
Stotch takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Andreas plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Andreas goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Andreas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stotch manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Andreas ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Stotch drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Stotch on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denis Andreas dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Leopold Stotch's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Stotch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Andreas manages to avoid it. Andreas rushes Stotch and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Andreas takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Denis Andreas has scored more points in the clinch so far. Andreas tries to stall but Stotch uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Andreas is trying to get back to full guard. Andreas is working hard here to advance position. Stotch scores with a couple of good hammerfists. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stotch passes the guard and advances to mount! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stotch cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Stotch is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Andreas! Leopold Stotch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! This has been an exciting period of action! Andreas really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stotch jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Andreas is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Andreas and Stotch has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
