The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowman connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Taylor fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Taylor tries to move into range but Bowman moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Bowman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Taylor.
Bowman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bowman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Taylor.
Taylor scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bowman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bowman slips a jab from Taylor.
Taylor waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bowman.
Taylor slips a straight right by Bowman.
Taylor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bowman manages to avoid it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bowman. That's going to slow Taylor down.
A solid leg kick lands there for Bowman.
Bowman swats away the attempt to clinch by Taylor.
Bowman throws a looping overhand right but Taylor ducks down to avoid it.
Bowman drops Taylor with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Taylor! Bowman dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pete Bowman!
Pete Bowman really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Hellbent logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
