Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gektor Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gektor Lombard will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombard lands a jab to the head.

Cruz tries to move to mount but Lombard blocks the move with his legs.
Cruz creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Cruz connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lombard some visible discomfort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lombard goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cruz turns into him and now he's in Lombard's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Nate Cruz will probably get the nod.

Cruz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lombard connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cruz scrambles back to his feet.

Cruz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cruz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Cruz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lombard can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

and Lombard counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Cruz is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Cruz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lombard tries to avoid it but Cruz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lombard to the ground. Lombard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gektor Lombard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nate Cruz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lombard tests Cruz's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cruz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lombard's waist but Lombard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cruz off to one side.

enabling Lombard to counter with a crisp jab.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Cruz tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lombard lands a big head kick that sends Cruz tumbling to the mat! Lombard takes a step backwards and waves Cruz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lombard lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Oh Cruz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Lombard! Cruz is out on his feet! Lombard rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Cruz is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Cruz is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
