Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle The Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Kid is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Moby - Flower . Bryan Dover could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kyle The Kid's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dover throws a sloppy head kick and The Kid moves out of range easily.
Kyle The Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dover looks to clinch

and The Kid counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The Kid is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The Kid content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Dover is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The Kid is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Dover tries to roll over but The Kid keeps him under control.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kyle The Kid.
Dover shoots in looking for a takedown. The Kid tries to sprawl out of it but Dover keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. The Kid manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dover gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows The Kid to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dover might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The Kid changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dover looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dover enables The Kid to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dover manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The Kid fails with the takedown.
Dover tries to score a power double leg takedown but The Kid sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dover somewhat.
The Kid shoots in for a takedown but Dover shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The Kid feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dover throws his legs up looking for a submission but The Kid uses it to pass to side control.
Kyle The Kid has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dover wants to get back to his feet.
The Kid takes a little break here. Dover wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
