Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Topohanta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Stugatz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Topohanta comes to the cage accompanied by DJ Proteus : Illuminati. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Stugatz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Topohanta scores with a kick to the midsection.
Stugatz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Topohanta misses with a kick to the body.
Topohanta pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stugatz throws the kick towards the body but Topohanta avoids it.
Stugatz throws a chopping leg kick but Topohanta manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Stugatz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Topohanta catches Stugatz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Stugatz thuds a left hand into Topohanta's body.
Stugatz misses with a body shot.
Topohanta throws a head kick but Stugatz moves out of range.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Topohanta.

It looks like Paulo Stugatz has been cut.
Stugatz looks gassed!
Stugatz misses with a kick to the body.
Topohanta fakes the leg kick and cracks Stugatz in the body.
Stugatz keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Stugatz takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Both fighters circling a little - Topohanta finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Topohanta lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Topohanta connects with a leg kick. Stugatz looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Stugatz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Stugatz drops his hands momentarily and Topohanta takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Topohanta buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stugatz is still on wobbly legs! Can Topohanta finish him?
Stugatz drops his hands momentarily and Topohanta needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Stugatz just on the top of the head. Stugatz drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Stugatz - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Pekka Topohanta!
A relieved looking Pekka Topohanta thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
