Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shelby lands a nice hook to Dean's body. Dean takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Dean looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dean on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Dean shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shelby is on top in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nate Shelby was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Shelby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dean manages to avoid it.

Dean takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dean avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dean takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Shelby throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Nate Shelby is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shelby just misses with a punch to the body.
Shelby connects with a nice looking jab.
Shelby scores with a nice head shot.
Shelby throws a right and a left that both miss.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dean shoots in looking for a takedown. Shelby tries to sprawl out of it but Dean keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shelby manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Shelby can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dean is looking to escape.
Shelby takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Shelby wants to control the pace but Dean is squirming around nicely.

Dean closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dean lands in his opponent's guard.
Dean has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Shelby is pulling down on Dean's head. It's preventing any offense from Dean, at least for the moment.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dean looks for a takedown but Shelby sprawls well.
Dean has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dean there as he acknowledges the shot.
Dean's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shelby connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dean scrambles back to his feet.
Shelby loads up on a big right hand but Dean slips the punch.
Dean looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
