Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Casillas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Labasan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Casillas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sheldon Labasan! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Casillas stuffs the takedown. Labasan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Casillas but Casillas pushes him off and we're back to square one. Labasan with a body punch. A glancing blow. Casillas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Casillas advances to half guard. Casillas is controlling the pace.
Casillas lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Casillas seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Casillas in particular looking to stall. Casillas is looking for a kimura but Labasan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Casillas to get the leverage. Labasan has a hand on Casillas's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Casillas takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Casillas pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Labasan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Casillas avoids the attempt from Labasan to control. Casillas landing strikes, looking to finish! Casillas jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Labasan manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Casillas is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Labasan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Labasan trying his best to control but Casillas has mounted him. Casillas is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Labasan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
This has been an exciting period of action! Casillas working the ground and pound effectively.
Casillas avoids the attempt from Labasan to control. Casillas takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. A nice elbow there by Casillas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Casillas working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Labasan is rocked! A big strike lands for Casillas! That's really hurt Labasan and he's turned his back - Casillas keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Casillas jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Casillas!
