Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Pedroseli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Senior Tres Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tres Santos has chosen Killing in the name of - Rage Against the Machine as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tres Santos loads up on a big right hand but Pedroseli slips the punch.
Tres Santos misses with a low kick.
Pedroseli slaps away a takedown attempt from Tres Santos, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tres Santos moves away from the strike by Pedroseli.
Pedroseli looks to throw the jab but Tres Santos is out of range.
Pedroseli takes a swing at Tres Santos's ribcage but misses.
Tres Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pedroseli swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Tres Santos clinches with his opponent.
Tres Santos unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pedroseli lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pedroseli's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Tres Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tres Santos fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tres Santos throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Tres Santos moves out of range of the strikes.
Pedroseli lands a head shot.


It looks like Senior Tres Santos has been cut.
Pedroseli throws an overhand right that lands on Tres Santos's shoulder, as Tres Santos tries to avoid the shot.
Tres Santos tries to land a front kick but Pedroseli steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Tres Santos shoots in for a double leg but Pedroseli sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nathan Pedroseli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Senior Tres Santos.

Tres Santos instigates a clinch.
Pedroseli is trying to force a seperation but Tres Santos has the dominant position.
Tres Santos lands a good knee to the midsection. Pedroseli won't want to take too many of those.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tres Santos keeps control of Pedroseli as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Pedroseli avoids a wild elbow strike from Tres Santos.

Tres Santos lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Pedroseli.

Pedroseli stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tres Santos.

Pedroseli takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Tres Santos tries to clinch up but Pedroseli circles away and keeps his distance.
Pedroseli pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tres Santos defending well as Pedroseli loads up on a big left hand.
Pedroseli takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Tres Santos slips under a jab.
Tres Santos avoids the body shot from Pedroseli.

Tres Santos moves into the clinch.

Tres Santos manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pedroseli wants to pass the guard but Tres Santos is keeping the position.
Tres Santos keeping moving, preventing Pedroseli from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pedroseli throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tres Santos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Tres Santos is pulling down on Pedroseli's head to control his posture.

Tres Santos uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Tres Santos doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Horrible takedown by Tres Santos or perhaps it was just good defense by Pedroseli which made him look bad.
Pedroseli looks to land a left hand but Tres Santos moved out of range nicely.
Tres Santos misses with the combination.
Nathan Pedroseli is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A shot to the liver by Pedroseli. Beautiful body shot.
Tres Santos tries to clinch but Pedroseli is having none of it.
Senior Tres Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pedroseli connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tres Santos momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tres Santos slips a jab from Pedroseli.
Pedroseli bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tres Santos's head.
Pedroseli tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tres Santos was well out of range. Poor timing from Pedroseli.
Pedroseli cracks Tres Santos with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Tres Santos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tres Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pedroseli's waist but Pedroseli gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tres Santos off to one side.
Tres Santos closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pedroseli counters with a huge left! Tres Santos is in big trouble! He's backing up but Pedroseli isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Tres Santos from any more damage. A dominating finish by Pedroseli!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nathan Pedroseli!
Nathan Pedroseli gave a mention to FinnFighter Nutrition (Only 160Q supps!) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
