Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Martelli sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.
Gracie throws a leg kick but Martelli checks it.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Martelli sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royce Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Martelli drives through with a takedown into Gracie's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Martelli makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Gracie is breathing heavily.
Martelli trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie can't keep his opponent in guard - Martelli advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Martelli is looking to advance position but Gracie won't allow it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Martelli lands a nice short elbow.
Gracie really is a fat lump.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie won't allow Martelli to pass to mount.
Martelli decides to return to a standing position.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Martelli circles away easily
and Martelli counters with a head kick that drops Gracie to the mat! Gracie scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Gracie is rocked!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gracie. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie tries to keep at a distance but Martelli has taken the fight into the clinch.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gracie's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Gracie is looking to break free of the clinch but Martelli has double underhooks.
Martelli jumps into guard, dragging Gracie to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martelli is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martelli keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Martelli takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Martelli uses his free foot to push down on Gracie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gracie.
Gracie is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

Martelli loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gracie scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Martelli land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Martelli stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gabriel Martelli!
