Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Javier Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valerio Bertoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Javier Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Valerio Bertoto!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bertoto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Bertoto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bertoto has his foot on Perez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perez works his way back into a safe position though.

Bertoto jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Perez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Perez and Bertoto has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Perez has control of Bertoto's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bertoto regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Bertoto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Perez avoids it really well and circles away.

I've got Bertoto winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
