Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marco Rudirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and O Kai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rudirez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Going to Brazil - Motorhead. Kai has chosen Kaleohano as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rudirez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kai tries to avoid it but Rudirez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kai to the ground. Kai escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kai might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

O Kai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rudirez feints and then cracks Kai's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kai down.

Rudirez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rudirez prevents Kai from getting back to his feet.
Rudirez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kai looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kai looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kai!
Rudirez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kai has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Rudirez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rudirez tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kai presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Kai prevents Rudirez from getting the reversal.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kai is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rudirez is surviving well by controlling Kai's body position as best he can.

Well Rudirez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
