Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonsson catches Escobar with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jonsson throws the left hand but Escobar avoids the punch easily.
Jonsson throws a hook to the side of Escobar's head but Escobar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Jonsson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Escobar sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jonsson. Escobar does a little dance to reset his feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jonsson.
Escobar shoots in looking for a takedown. Jonsson tries to sprawl out of it but Escobar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jonsson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Escobar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jonsson, pushing him back against the cage.
Escobar wants to get back to striking at distance but Jonsson won't allow it.

Jonsson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Escobar is working away from the top position though.

Escobar displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jonsson throws out the jab.
Escobar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jonsson is staying active underneath Escobar, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Escobar throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jonsson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Escobar is in Jonsson's guard.

Jonsson stays in close to Escobar's body and controls the position.
Jonsson wants to get up but he can't break Escobar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jonsson is posturing up here but Escobar has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Jonsson tries to roll out but it's too tight and Jonsson has to tap! Slick submission there by Escobar!
