The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Partner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Reiplinger counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Partner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reiplinger is fending him off so far but Partner persists. Nope, Reiplinger circles away and we're back to standing.
Reiplinger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Partner sprawls well initially but Reiplinger persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Partner is trying to stand up here but Reiplinger is controlling him well.
Reiplinger seems to be working for a kimura but Partner defends the submission attempt.
Reiplinger is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
