Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beecher Meetz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lore Helord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Beecher Meetz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lore Helord! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meetz gets the takedown into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Meetz. Helord is not content to let Meetz control the position. Helord stops Meetz from passing to mount. Meetz in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Helord is trying to control Meetz's posture but Meetz avoids it. Helord might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Meetz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Meetz postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Helord manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Meetz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Helord wants to improve his position but Meetz is controlling well.
Meetz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Helord blocking the ground and pound attempt from Meetz. Meetz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Helord keeps working. Meetz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Meetz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Helord has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Meetz has managed to get both his arms back between Helord's legs - danger averted. Meetz distracts Helord with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Helord keeping moving, preventing Meetz from controlling successfully. Meetz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Meetz trying to control but Helord is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Meetz is trying to stand back up. Meetz is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Helord gets his way!

Beecher Meetz dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A much better position for Meetz. Helord trying to control the position from guard on top but Meetz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Meetz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Helord must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Meetz wants to stand up but Helord is controlling him. Helord tries to free his leg and advance position but Meetz is retaining full guard. Helord wants to control from the top but Meetz keeps moving. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Helord works his way back into a safe position though. Beecher Meetz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Helord doesn't defend quickly enough and Meetz has managed to lock this one up! Can Helord escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Meetz on a fantastic submission victory.
