Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Silvester Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Smith! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well. A combination from Tyson does no damage. Tyson tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A punch combination from Tyson misses. Smith showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tyson.
Tyson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.

Smith misses with a combination
and Tyson counters with a two punch combo. Tyson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smith counters with a takedown into side control. Smith in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith wants to control but Tyson is keeping him busy. Tyson trying to remain calm as Smith controls from the top position. Smith throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. A lull in the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith taking a break here but Tyson is having none of it and regains half guard. Smith is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tyson defends it well. Tyson is refusing to be controlled, as Smith sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Smith stalling.
Despite being in the dominant position, Frank Smith just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tyson misses with a double jab.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tyson as he avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Smith dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Tyson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Tyson duly obliges. Smith is looking to land body kicks. Smith fails in his attempt to clinch. Tyson tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tyson throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely. Smith fails to land the takedown. Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some wild striking there from Tyson.

and Smith counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Tyson works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Smith trying to control the action but Tyson is working from the bottom. Smith decides to return to a standing position. Frank Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tyson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Silvester Tyson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Some wild striking there from Tyson.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Tyson throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tyson pinned against the cage. Tyson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Silvester Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Smith. Tyson throws a series of punches but Smith avoids them all with ease. Tyson misses with a combination
and Smith counters with a shoot takedown. Tyson fights it but they end up in guard. Smith pushing down on Tyson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith wants to pass to mount but Tyson is defending the position. Tyson trying to hold on to Smith's head to control him but Smith postures up.
Smith wants to take a breather but Tyson is having none of it. Tyson is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Tyson wants to hit a switch here but Smith passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Tyson there! Smith trying to control but Tyson is having none of it. Tyson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Smith.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith lands a big elbow. Smith has isolated one of Tyson's arms. Tyson looking to fight him off but Smith twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
