With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitry Timonyn!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Timonyn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rock gets the takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Rock misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Timonyn is not content to let Rock control the position.
Rock connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Timonyn some visible discomfort.
Timonyn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Rock is looking to take a break and control but Timonyn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Timonyn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rock pulls his head out easily.
Rock not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rock thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Timonyn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Rock looks to land a strike but Timonyn avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Timonyn is looking for a triangle but Rock pushes his legs off easily.

Timonyn has momentary wrist control but Rock slips an elbow through the middle.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Timonyn can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Timonyn manages to escape and get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
